Non-Emergency Patient Transporter

Compensation

$20.00 + to start + benefits

Minimum Requirements

  • Dependable and willing to work full-time

  • 23 years of age or older

  • 2+ years driving history, and a current Nevada or California State driver’s license

  • Ability to drive large vans over an 8-hour plus shift in a safe and professional manner

  • Comfortable working with patients of all ages, races, religions, and genders

  • Good "bedside manner" and the ability to interact with patients, facility staff, and other employees

  • Ability to work varied days and shifts, including day, swing, and overnight, if needed.

  • CPR certification or be able to obtain within 30 days.

  • Must pass DOT drug, DOT Physical, & background checks.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Capable of lifting minimum of 75+ pounds

Duties included but not limited to:

  • Assist with transferring clients from home to facility, facility to facility, or facility to home

  • Follow directions and the ability to read and use GPS accurately

  • Perform all related duties as assigned, including transporting clients in a safe, caring, and professional manner

  • Communicates with dispatch to receive relevant data and instructions

  • Professional behavior and attitude towards customers, visitors, and coworkers

  • Completion of vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily vehicle usage for safe and comfortable patient transport

  • Able to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to always follow safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in patient transport

  • Superior customer service experience

  • Bilingual
